Privacy Policy →Reporting a bug
To help us fix something quickly, please include in your email:
- Your macOS version (Apple menu → About This Mac).
- Narada version (open Narada → menu bar → About Narada).
- What you were doing when it happened, and what you expected to happen instead.
- If the app crashed: any crash dialog message, or a screenshot.
- Optional: console logs from Console.app filtered by "Narada" — useful for tricky issues, but absolutely not required.
We will never ask you to send us a recording or transcript. Audio and meeting content stay on your Mac.
Common issues
The other side of the call isn't being recorded
Narada needs Screen & System Audio Recording permission to capture the audio coming out of Zoom, Meet, Teams, etc. Grant it from System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording, then quit and relaunch Narada. If the permission is already granted but recording is still silent, try toggling it off and on again — macOS occasionally drops the permission silently after updates.
My voice isn't being recorded
Check that Narada has Microphone permission in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone, and that the right input device is selected in the menu-bar dropdown before you start the recording.
The calendar isn't auto-starting recordings
Auto-start is opt-in. Connect your Apple, Google, or Microsoft calendar from Settings → Calendar, then enable Auto-record meetings. Make sure the calendar event has a video link (Zoom, Meet, Teams, etc.) — Narada only auto-records events that look like real meetings, not focus blocks or all-day events.
AI summaries say "limit reached" or don't appear
If you're on the Pro plan, you may have hit your monthly fair-use quota — see Settings → Usage. If you're using BYOK mode, the issue is most likely with your own OpenAI key (rate limit, billing, expired key); test it on platform.openai.com first.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple and cancelled in macOS settings — see the full step-by-step in the Subscription Terms.
I want a refund
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled exclusively by Apple. Submit a request via reportaproblem.apple.com or directly from your Apple purchase confirmation email. We don't see your card details and can't process refunds ourselves.
How do I delete my data?
Recordings, transcripts, and summaries are plain files in the folder you chose (default ~/Documents/Narada). Drag them to the Trash and they're gone — nothing is mirrored to our servers. To disconnect a calendar account, open Settings → Calendar and click Disconnect; this revokes the OAuth token and deletes the local event cache.
